What is a "community" or "independent" bank?
A bank that is locally owned and operated. It often operates in one locality and has directors and officers who are usually local to the community.
What is WIB's mission?
WIB is a trade association that informs, educates and connects community banks with the resources and services to achieve the highest standards of personal and organizational performance.
What is WIB Service Corporation's mission?
To provide high-quality, value-added products and services which enhance the competitive advantage of WIB's bank members.
When were WIB and WIB Service Corporation founded?
WIB was founded in 1937. The First Bank Presidents & Senior Officers Policy Seminar was held in 1958 and Fay Packard and Fay Packard of Central Bank of Utah was the WIB President. WIB Service Corporation was established in 1994 by WIB’s Board of Directors as a wholly-owned subsidiary of WIB.
How many members does WIB have?
Over 380+ community and independent banks and 175 associate members providing products and services to the community banking industry.

Who are your endorsed partners?

Our firm would like to become an endorsed partner. What do we need to do?
Your first step is to become an Associate Member. Once you and your firm have spent some time as an Associate Member, you can explore the possibility of becoming an Endorsed Partner. You can learn more about the endorsement policy and our current endorsed partners on the VIP web page.
I'm not really sure how my bank can use our current membership? Is there someone who can help?

Are there Committees that I can join?
WIB and WIB Service Corporation have multiple Committees that both members and non-members have the opportunity to join. Our most popular are the Planning Advisory Committees for our Conferences & Forums. We invite you to explore our website to learn about the various ways in which you can get involved in these Committees.
Where/when will the next Annual Conference take place?
The 2008 Annual Conference for Bank Presidents, Senior Officers & Directors will take place March 15-19, 2008 at The Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island of Hawaii. Learn what it take to "Think BIG, Act Small" at this premiere event.

What should I do if I am interested in speaking at one of your events?
There are many opportunities to submit speaker proposals for our educational events. You can learn more on our Speakers web page.
What is my user name and password?
