Topics to be covered include: What are the true needs and desires of stockholders? How many stockholders should my institution have? How do we increase/decrease our stockholder base? Will the new Subchapter S law impact my institution? How do I handle problematic stockholders? Is a stockholders agreement important? What are the issues relating to public company stockholders and registered shares?

Interactive Mock Board Session
Jared Wolff, EVP, General Counsel, Pacific Western Bank
Dr. S. Scott MacDonald, President & CEO, Southwestern Graduate School of Banking

Today’s industry presents many questions and challenges many of us have not previously encountered. Understanding all of the components of risk, as well as knowing how decisions made today will improve or hinder your chances for survival and profitability tomorrow is critical for the health and success of your bank in today’s economy. Participants will be divided into mock boards and will be given a bank risk profile. You will be presented with a number of scenarios – requiring quick decisions to be made with only the information available at hand. Learn here what to or not to do and be prepared in the future should a similar situation arise within your bank.
