A new workshop with special focus on the substantive changes to the insurance coverage provisions of the Federal Deposit Insurance Reform Act of 2005.

What You Will Learn

This is a comprehensive workshop on deposit insurance coverage, explaining in detail the rules and requirements for all account ownership categories, with a special focus on the newly implemented rules and regulations. Each participant is provided illustrative examples and a host of deposit insurance tools during the session. Interactive participation is encouraged and all session materials are updated for 2006 requirements.

  • Highlights of the 2005 Deposit Insurance Reform Legislation
  • Overview of basic deposit insurance concepts and fundamentals
  • Discussion of common consumer account ownership categories: Single, Self-Directed Retirement
    and Joint & Revocable Trust Accounts (including informal POD and living trust accounts)
  • Overview of other account ownership categories including: Irrevocable Trust, Employee Benefit Plan,
    Corporations/Partnership/Unincorporated Association and Public Unit Accounts
  • Information on important questions and answers regarding insurance coverage

WORKSHOP LEADERS 

Delivered by Hugh Eagleton, an FDIC deposit insurance specialist and Joe DiNuzzo, counsel with the FDIC in Washington, D.C. Joe specializes in deposit insurance coverage and is one of the authors of the new laws.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received before August 11 will receive a full refund minus a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received on or after August 12.

WIB is not responsible for airfare penalties incurred due to the cancellation of this program.
