Dr. MacDonald is President and CEO of the WS Graduate School of Banking Foundation at Southern Methodist University and adjunct professor of finance in the Cox School of Business at SMU. His areas of expertise include risk management, financial markets, commercial banking, business valuation, credit analysis and econometrics. He heads the Assemblies for Bank Directors and hosts many of the industry’s highly regarded educational programs.

Merrill Reynolds, Jr. is the founder of Banker’s Edge, a financial institution consulting firm. As one of the industry’s top advisors, Banker’s Edge provides asset quality and review services along with credit-related training to both the commercial and savings banks nationwide. Merrill began his career as a bank examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and has worked for both community and multi-bank holding companies in various lending and managerial capacities. He assisted in the development of a Problem Real Estate Loan seminar for the OCC.
