Peer Exchange Conference Call Series

A new program for 2009, WIB Peer Exchange Conference Call Series connects you with other independent bankers in your field, providing peer resources that help you to learn how peers have handled situations you may be facing, avoid mistakes others may have made, and take advantage of opportunities and solutions you might not currently be aware of.

This Conference Call Series resembles the popular WIB Peer Exchange Sessions at our conferences, all from the convenience of your office.

Executive Roundtable Forums

These meetings provide an excellent opportunity for you to discuss current hot topic and trends in the industry today.  You’ll have the opportunity to hear from experts in the field and to discuss them with your peers.

This is a conference call series. You will hear a 30-minute presentation by an expert which will lead into a 30-minute discussion of the topic at hand with your peers by phone.

About the Peer Groups

  • Peer groups are organized by asset size and designed to avoid competitors in each group, based on top three independent bank competitors identified on the registration form.

  • We will not place you in a peer group with identified competitor banks without your pre-approval. 

  • Only bankers and bank directors are allowed on each call.

  • If there are not enough participants in a particular asset range to form a group, you will be advised and have the option of joining another group or receiving a refund.

  • There are four conference calls to choose from each focusing on 2-3 different topics each call – you can join all four, or participate on one.

  • The conference call facilitator and speaker is not a banker, but a knowledge expert in the field.

Peer Group Selection

WIB will organize the peer groups by asset size and do our best to avoid competitors in each group. Each group has a minimum of eight people and a maximum of 16 per call. If you choose to participate on two or more conference calls, you may find yourself with a new group of bankers each time. Only bankers and bank directors are allowed to participate on each call. If there are not enough participants in that asset range to form a group, you will be advised and have the option of joining another group or receiving a refund.

Who is the Conference Call Facilitator & Leader?

Each group will have a knowledge expert who will present on the hot topic and then facilitate the discussion on each call. Although the expert on the call is not a banker, they will be available to answer specific questions on the topics being discussed and will oversee the participation to make the call as valuable as possible for the participants. WIB staff will schedule and arrange the conference calls, but staff will not be on each call.

Registration Fees & Information

The Peer Exchange Network is only available for registration using a valid credit card. You must first establish a MyWIB online account before you can complete the registration process. If you are unable to pay by credit card, please contact WIB at (415) 352-2323 for further assistance.

Fees are based on a per line charge – additional lines must be purchased separately.

WIB Member Bank - $85 per call/line
Nonmember Bank - $185 per call/line

Registration Priority

WIB member banks will be given priority in registration in peer group categories and preferences.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received 8 days prior to the call will receive a full refund less a $50 processing fee. Cancellations received 7 days or less prior to the first conference call will not receive a refund. Substitutions welcomed.

Continuing Education

Do you need Continuing Education units?  Your attendance on these conference calls can provide you with continuing education units that may count towards your continuing education requirements. A Certificate of Attendance is available upon request for your use in applying for CEU/CPE credits.
