Cash Sweep Accounts [On-& Off Balance-Sheet] – Reich & Tang Asset Management

Reich & Tang Asset Management offers WIB de novo banks two cash sweep account products: an “On-Balance-Sheet” and the traditional “Off-Balance-Sheet” sweep. De novos may choose to offer either or both of these products. De novos receive additional pricing concessions on implementation fees.  

  • On-Balance-Sheet Sweep (On-BSS):  The On-BSS sweeps commercial checking account funds in excess of a target balance to a money market deposit account at your bank.  Your bank gains a valuable source for core deposit growth, improved balance sheet liquidity and ability to fund local loan demand while your commercial depositors  earn interest on idle account balances.  De novo banks are eligible to offer the On-BSS; however, because of monthly minimum balance requirements, they usually offer the Off-BSS first and   then convert to the On-BSS when their sweep balances reach the minimum monthly threshold. There is no charge for conversion.]
