About this Survey
The survey sought to develop a relatively current picture of the bank safety and soundness and compliance examinations and the trend from early 2007 to April 2008.
The survey was comprehensive covering both trends for safety and soundness and compliance exams.
Summary Demographics
Western Independent Bankers working in conjunction with AuditOne developed the survey questions. It was emailed on April 24, 2008 to 562 banks in the nine western states. Bankers were asked to fill out an online survey which was designed and tabulated by Community Bank Ventures.
112 banks participated in the survey, which represents about 20% of the banks eligible.
