Overview:

Measurement of Credit Losses on Financial Instruments (also known as CECL) is one of the most impactful accounting standards to affect the banking industry in the last ten years. Many community bankers are asking themselves: How am I going to comply with this standard, while at the same time limiting the overall financial cost and personnel burden that implementation could potentially create? This WiBinar will get beyond the theory of CECL, and demonstrate implementation can be accomplished by community banks of all shapes and sizes, while being cognizant of the inherent challenges community banks will face in regards to implementation of this standard.

  • Timelines and action plans for implementing the new allowance standard

  • Understand options for models that may be used within your organization

  • Identify data elements you will need to effectively implement the new allowance standard
